4th Grade Sp. Education / ECC Sp. Education
I graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1989. There I obtained a degree in Special Education and also Elementary Education.
Along with my special education and elementary education degrees, I also hold an early childhood certification.
At my last school I was on the Positive Behavior Intervention Team. Becoming a member of the team required a variety of professional development courses that were offered by our district.
This is going to be my 21st year of teaching and my first year to teach in Oklahoma. Previously, I have taught in Texas, Colorado and Nebraska. During my career, I have taught Preschool, Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd, grade, 6th grade and also in the special education classroom.
This year I am excited to be teaching preschool, kindergarten and 4th grade special education.
My family and my faith are the most important things in my life. My husband and I made the choice to move to Oklahoma to be closer to our family.
I have a long love for horses. My husband is a team roper and my children have competed at rodeos their whole life. If we are out of town, most likely we are at a team roping or rodeo. I no longer compete, but still ride and video everyone else when they are competing.
I also enjoy working in my yard and adore my dog, Cooper.
