Dear Intermediate Families,

I hope all is well with you and your family and that you are taking this time to enjoy each other’s company.  We are excited to provide continuous learning to our Intermediate students.  Our goal is to provide enriching and engaging lessons to our students in a parent/student friendly online format. For students without internet access, learning packets will be made available and mailed to the student. 

How do you receive assignments? We will be using Google classroom as the online format.  Each student will have their own account that will have lessons/assignments from all of their teachers posted for each week.  The recommended time will be 90 minutes per day, five days per week.  There will be two 30 minute lessons/assignments for each academic subject and three 15 minute lessons/assignments for special subjects per week.  Academic subjects are Reading, Math, English, Science and Social Studies.  Special subjects are PE and Music.  Title I Math and Speech is also available as Special subjects for those students who participate in those programs. 

So what will that look like for students??  Each student’s screen will have 5 academic classes with 2 lessons/assignments per academic class and 2 special classes with 3 lessons/assignments per special class.   Students should complete 2 academic lessons/assignments (order does not matter, it is their choice), and one special lesson/assignment (Music or PE) daily, and 15 minutes of independent reading daily, for a total of 90 minutes.  By the end of week all academic lessons/assignments should be completed and 5 of the 6 special lessons/assignments will be completed along with a total of 75 minutes of independent reading.  Of course, this is the recommended sequence, but you as the parent can modify to meet your needs.  Teachers will be available for questions via email or google classroom Monday –Thursday 10am-3pm and 7pm-8pm. Times are not set to limit access just to let you know when you can expect to get a response to your questions.  Homeroom teachers will be sending individual passwords via E-notes.  Please do not try to access google classroom prior to receiving your password from your teacher.  This letter along with a guide on how to access google classroom will be posted on our website.  This is a new process for students, parents, and teachers. Our goal is not to frustrate you or your student, but to provide enrichment opportunities to enhance student knowledge. When does Continuous Learning begin? Continuous Learning Starts April 6th

WELCOME NEW STUDENTS: To enroll in Tuttle Schools you must have birth certificate, current shot record, and proof of residency (electric or water bill).  Students will not be able to attend school without ALL documentation on file in the office. It is your responsibility to provide Tuttle Schools with all required documentation at time of enrollment.
